Sunflowers
These pictures were taken here in beautiful Colorado. They took my breath away and I spent a few weeks on my phone before I knew what they represented to me. I recently sent this to my team and wanted to share it here. This is how I feel about special education – both as an educator and as a mom.
We are strong, we are beautiful. We are special and sometimes we stand out. We survive because we have strong roots and can stand in strong wind. We are not easily taken down or destroyed. Sometimes it feels like we’re the only ones. Know that you’re not alone and there’s an entire team here to support you.
It is my heart to create a community where families feel heard, supported, loved, and like they are not on this journey alone!
